The challenge of rehabilitating Australia’s streams

The 2nd Australian Stream Management Conference was held in Adelaide in February 1999.

Possibly the most significant challenge at that time was integrating the breadth of issues involved in rehabilitating streams. The diversity of these issues was clearly demonstrated by the variety of topics covered in the 130 or so papers within these proceedings. The papers range from market mechanisms for selling carbon credits, through to approaches to community involvement, and the hydraulics of rock chutes – together the proceedings represented the collective progress towards meeting the challenge of stream rehabilitation in Australia in 1999.
