The value of healthy streams

The 3rd Australian Stream Management Conference was held in Brisbane in August 2001.

The editors of 3ASM deliberately restricted the scope of the conference to emphasise the science and economics of stream management. Community management and institutional arrangements had been emphasised in 2ASM so papers were called for under four specific themes:

  1. Ecosystem services provided by streams
  2. Biophysical interactions in streams
  3. Hydrological connectivity (along streams, in the stream bed, and onto floodplains), and
  4. Tools and techniques for stream management.
