RBMS Mentoring Program

The RBMS runs a mentoring program with mentors (>5-10 years’ experience) and mentee’s (undergraduate or entry level professionals with less than 5 years’ experience) to participate as either an Assigned Pair or part of a Flash Mentoring rotation (rotates quarterly) on an annual basis. The primary purpose of the program is to connect our experienced and early career member base as part of a networking opportunity.

It is widely recognised that mentoring can serve many purposes by helping an individual develop a new skill, assist with problem solving, boost confidence in communications and engagement, widen a network or provide career or personal direction. This program is not driven by project outcomes, it aims to provide a semi-formal and flexible approach to enabling guidance for the many purposes as described above. Mentoring is not solely there to support a mentee but can also be a two-way street, ensuring those involved both give and receive and help the other grow.

More information is available in our program guide and introduction document for 2023.
