We are very sad to tell you all that Professor Wayne Erskine died suddenly in Darwin recently.

Wayne was one of Australia’s most influential fluvial geomorphologists, and a great mentor, colleague and friend to a many of us.  He was a major contributor to stream and river management in Australia.   As an example, we was one of the few people who attended every one of ASM conferences since their inception in 1996.

He will be sorely missed.

Friend and colleague John Tilleard shares his reflections on Wayne’s life and contributions to the industry in this piece attached.
